Never really been interested in taking train pictures however there is a Steam Train that regularly goes through the local station so I thought it was worth a try. Clearly I wasn't the only person with this idea as the station was full of people photo'ing or videoing.

Got a couple of OK shots but I will need to go back and try again to get anything very interesting!

Finally got round to getting up in time to get dawn at Avebury (Neolithic stone circle)- took the opportunity when on my way to South Wales. Light was great for a few minutes and managed to get some good shots. Must go back some time!

Had my first attempt at taking firework pictures at the Guildford Stoke Park firework display. After reading up on technique it was not too difficult - apart from knowing where the fireworks were going to 'burst'. Do you go for wide angle or zoom in and risk missing part?
Well I got some reasonable results, plus some of the funfair...
